Today was a relatively easy day. There were no portages, the wind was limited, the current was good, and I was not distracted.  Unfortunately the access points did not align up with my energy level and I had to end the day short. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day!

Since it's a slow day I might as well go into the logistics of this trip. Specially how we are handling camping and boating.
Denean did not feel good about dropping me of in itasca and going home.  So she requested to co.e along and be my support structure for the first couple of weeks. Not wanting to be rude, or carry all my gear over the dams, I acquiesced. Also, I'm not stupid (I don't need people proving me wrong here either).
Denean set up a central place in Remer MN where she would drive to to the drop/pick up spots and bring me back to the trailer. In theory this works. In actuality the roads were a little long and repetitive. I would have preferred  closer to the river and maybe one more move. But it's not crazy bad and I still get to sleep in a bed. So no whining from me.
On a side note, the people at the Remer Motel(which has trailer hook ups as well) are good people and very accommodating!
Once I get south of Brainerd, Denean is going to move the trailer to St Cloud to support me all the way south of Minneapolis.
