Today was a relatively easy day. No open water, no portages, and no major issues. Oh, wait, the entire area was under a red flag warning. I  was paddling into a steady 10 to 20 mph wind with gusts up to 35 mph. To tell the truth,  when a gust of wind shifts my center so much I have to hip swivel, thats more than 35 mph.

With all that being said, I still managed to paddle 43 miles today. In this section of river the options seemed to be paddle 30 miles or paddle 40.  Btw, bugs are starting to make their presence know. The hotter temperature made the exertion a little more strenuous. Still a beautiful place to paddle!
